During the week 21 students learned about poems, fables, short stories, and wrote a 3,000 word story. At the end of the week they then wrote about their countries, favorite places, along with a rocking rap.

Fable

The Tiger and the Mouse

Once upon a time, there was a tiger. As the tiger

was moving through the trees, stalking his prey, he

accidentally got a splinter stuck in his right paw.

Now the tiger was very feared across the jungle,

so he went to the gorilla and ordered him to help,

but the gorilla’s fingers were too big to pull the

splinter out. The tiger then went to the snake,

but the snake had no fingers to grab the splinter.

After asking all of the most powerful animals in

the jungle, the tiger finally gave up and sat down,

yelling in pain. Suddenly, a mouse passed by and

said: “I can help you tiger, but only if you stop

hunting small creatures!”. The tiger agreed and the

mouse pulled the splinter out. Suddenly, the tiger

grabbed the mouse. “Stop! This wasn’t our deal!”

yelled the mouse. “You should never trust a tiger” –

the tiger said before swallowing the mouse.

Fitness is activity like a sport, it’s physical activity, and it also means having positive energy. Fitness helps you feel better and have more energy for work and leisure time. You’ll feel more able to do things like playing with kids, gardening, dancing etc. Children and teens who are fit may have more energy and better focus at school. It also helps you manage your weight, when you stay active and fit you burn more calories. If you have some problem with your health, you must say it to your fitness instructor and he’ll give another practice for you. Some of the important suggestions are:

 -Eat 2-3 hours before practice

-Don’t drink alchohol

You want to give up alcohol?

Then join the group.

-Don’t smoke - live a healthy life !!!

Being fitter also helps you to sleep better and keep your mind sharp.

I think that the fitness is a very good hobby for everyone, because all of us need some positive energy, relax. And healthy life. I have been going on fitness for 2 years, and after each class I feel like I can touch the sky and it’s so cool! TRY IT!

Montenegro Culture

Owing to its specific climate and history,Montenegro has been the home of many artists who have become world famouse.A lot of galleries,theatres,festivals and other cultural events show that the Montenigrin people pay a lot of attention to the culture.The high concentration of the artistic and cultural wealth was recognized in the Kotor so this town was included in the UNESCO list of cultural heritage.

The printed word in Montenegro goes way back in history.Thirty-eight years after Gutenberg’s Bible,in 1493,the first printing shop in the Balkans started its operation. One year later the first book was printed – Oktoih.

The state also has special areas for recreation, including four national parks: Durmitor, Biogradska Gora, Lovcen and Skadar lake. Moraca Monastery is famous for its cycle of St Ilija, one of the best 13th-century pieces of monumental painting in the Balkans.

250 books are published each year by the local press, and the country’s most popular newspapers include Pobjeda, Vijesti, Trend, Liberal and the weekly Monitor. Other sources of media include the MontenaFax news agency, one national television and seven radio stations.

Montenegrin painters produced timely reactions to the artistic movements in the modern world. The works of Petar Lubarda, Dado Djuric, Vojo Stanic and Milo Milunovic are exhibited in famous galleries and museums all over the world.

Today, Cetinje, is the centre of culture and art, while Podgorica is the main administrative and educational centre. The country has placed particular emphasis on sports activities and physical education, especially in the fields of hunting and fishing.

Saint-Petersburg was constructed by Peter I in 27 May 1703. The city was renamed on Petrograd in 31 August 1914. Then in 26 January 1924 Lenin renamed the city in Leningrad. After disintegration SSSR the city was renamed in Saint-Petersburg again in 6 September 1991.The population makes 4 600 310 persons.

The most northern in the world a city with the population more than one million person. Among the cities completely located in Europe, St.-Petersburg is the third on the population, and also the first on number of inhabitants a city which is not capital.

It is located in Northern Europe, in the northwest of the Russian Federation, on the bank of Gulf of Finland of Baltic Sea, in delta of the river of Neva running into it.

St.-Petersburg is important economic and a centre of science of Russia, also it is large transport knot.

St.-Petersburg is included in the list of the World heritage of UNESCO, it is being the important centre of tourism in Russia.

The flag of St.-Petersburg represents a rectangular panel of red colour in which centre two turned white anchors — sea and river, put crosswise are represented, and on them a gold scepter with a two-headed eagle.

St.-Petersburg has some symbols, for example, ship on the Admiralty spike, Mednij Vsadnik, and angel on a spike of the Peter and Paul Cathedral.

I like this city very much. It has many interesting museums, squares, sculptures; also there are many malls, shops, entertainments etc. If you visit St.-Petersburg you will not be disappointed.

Bora- Bora

Bora-Bora is an ancient name, which mean ”first born” as ancient legends suggest that this land was the first to rise from the water and truly is the most romantic island in the world. It was formed around four million years ago after volcanoes erupted from the sea bed. As the volcano sank back into the Pacific Ocean, a ring of coral reefs, or atolls, formed to mark the ancient coastline. It’s the most mythical of the Pacific islands and it’s called the islands of all dreams. Honeymooners and romantics from all over the world have laid claim to Bora- Bora where the castle- like Mount Otemanu pierces the sky above the christal lagoon.

Bora-Bora is 160 miles northeast of Tahiti, a 50-minute hop on the island carrier Air Tahiti. From the air, as from the ground, it is dazzling. Diving within the waters of the most beautiful lagoon in the world is on many diver's "must do" list. During the dives, it is common to be joined by legions of gigantic manta rays gliding gracefully within arm's reach while schools of reef sharks parade by.

Bora- Bora offers a multitude of activities and excursions it’s a lot of fun and totally safe. Some of its famous activities are the Matira beach which is one of the famous beaches on the Bora-Bora island, Bloody Mary’s restaurant, Parasailing, motorboat, guided hikes, sunset cruise with singers and dancers and many others.

For the visitor, the colorful and majestic setting of Bora- Bora offers lots of fun and great spent vacation. From the dramatic scenery to the privacy of the overwater bungalows, everything in Bora-Bora equals on 10 on the romance scale.

Perfect white- sand beaches give way to emerald waters where impossibly colored fish animate the coral gardens. So much has been written about Bora- Bora, and yet it is hard to find the right words to describe the magic that emanates from this island

I want to go to the Bora-Bora island because I like the beaches even if they are secluded. Bora-Bora is a good place to go because everything is safe, calm, and where you can just sit for a moment on the sandy beaches and clear your thoughts. You can think about the little things we pass and don’t pay attention to. Don’t you think every person deserves that? If you do, start thinking about it!

SPAIN – GERMANY: The most important match of the history of Spain.

Yesterday, at 9, 30 Spain played against Germany a very important match to be in the final the next Sunday.

In Spain football isn’t only a sport, because of it, we are very nervous before the game, we have waited for that moment the whole life.

The Spanish coach chooses to play only with David Villa, who was accompanied of very talented players. That was very important because Spain was the owner of the ball, and with the Puyol’s goal, the match was for Spain.

I asked for Spanish people, who were watching the match; they are very excited after the game, it’s the first time that Spain is going to play the final in the World Championship

People, when finished the match went to the streets for celebrate the historic victory of our team.

Now we are waiting the next match, because we are sure Spain will be the World Champion. We have an appointment with history. Yes we can!

                                                                                                     

Bulgarian Culture

For thirteen centuries, Bulgaria - the cradle of Slav culture, the land of Orpheus and Spartacus has given the world men of great achievements, mysterious Thracian treasures and burial tombs, magnificent frescos and many brilliant examples of ancient applied arts.

Fire dancing is the most ancient mysterious ritual - barefooted dancers performing on burning embers. This religious and mystical ritual for expelling illness, for health and fruitfulness is one that must be seen to believe it.

CuisineFamous for its rich salads required at every meal, Bulgarian cuisine also features diverse quality dairy products and a variety of wines and local alcoholic drinks such as rakia (ракия), mastika (мастика) and menta (мента). Bulgarian cuisine also features a variety of hot and cold soups, for example tarator. Many different Bulgarian pastries exist as well, such as banitsa, a traditional pastry prepared by layering a mixture of whisked eggs and pieces of sirene (Feta cheese) between filo pastry and then baking it in an oven.

Studying in native atmosphere

At the moment we are studying in the camp in AUBG University, which is quite prestigious and has a great stuff of volunteers from USA. Nevertheless, Bulgaria is not an English-speaking country. So, we do not have so-called “native atmosphere”.
Let’s dissemble – does it matter?

Summer English language schools are becoming more and more popular among teenagers who are going to enter the university. Without any doubts, they give an attractive opportunity both to study and travel.

It is believed that English-speaking countries’ summer camps are the most prestigious. Usually these countries are: Great Britain, USA, Canada, Malta and South Africa. Such countries have incredible tourist attractions, but they are they so good in TEACHING English? Let’s come out with one from each country.

As for London, it is rather expensive place for studying. Accommodation costs from 126£ per week and courses cost from 125£ per week. On the On the EC agency site Katrin Geiser from Germany writes: “I would like to improve my English, that’s why I chose London. My classmates were from all over the world and I met new people every day. EC schools seemed great and professional”. Nevertheless, as for Ksenya, AUBG camp student from Montenegro, she tells that her staying there was not brilliant: teachers was not from London, but from Malta and, as she was 12, much younger than her London classmates, she often felt bored.

New York is a dynamical city with a great amount of famous places, people and opportunities. But you also have to pay a lot. Courses cost from 258$ per week and accommodation costs from 195$ per week. Ksenya Kozyreva from Russia, the winner of the exchange program “Flex” told me by e-mail: “Before I have won “Flex” and spent a year in USA, I had visited New York for studying English. I felled in love with this city and enjoyed his atmosphere of freedom and friendly people. They are really friendly and open-hearted and always ready to communicate. But as for services, they are really expensive. If you have a simple toothache, you will need a large sum of money.”

Malta is a nice place for relaxing at Mediterranean, but what about education? As for Martina, she says: “I have been in Malta in autumn and it was a one thing that made my education process completed. At summer there are such a lot of people that every nation makes their own groups and talk on their own language. I have been staying with foreign guys and had a lot of community practice.” The prices here are lower: courses cost from 120 euro per week and accommodation costs from 91 euro per week.

Cape Town is in South Africa and a lot of people prefer to spend their holydays there. Alessandro Scognamiglio wrote on one of the educational web-sites: “Nobody realizes how amazing Cape Town is. It is totally different from usual destinations for learning English. The cost of living is very cheap – it is great value”. Courses cost from 125 euro per week and accommodation costs from 126 euro.

So, as we see it, there are no special recommendations to make your summer education perfect. Find your own way from your wishes and abilities and have fun.
